The D-SEND (Digital Spontaneous Evolutionary Nucleal Device) is the most recently generated model of digivice, appearing less than a year ago to herald the arrival of the newest groups of tamers. It acts as the interface between tamer and partner Digimon, allowing them to share energy and grow in power, for what purpose, it is yet unclear.
The D-SEND is related to the D-Nexus and appears to be an upgraded model, even so much that two of the original models have morphed into the new one. As such it contains many of the same features:
Direct link to partners showing health, energy, and the ability to temporarily boost energy allowing evolution to higher levels
Digimon database that updates automatically on receiving new information. New profiles are synced between other D-SENDs in the vicinity.
Interactive map of the surrounding area, with tracking system for other D-SENDs. Tracking can be switched off to allow a covert mode.
Communications link between tamer and their partner Digimon, as well as other D-SENDs.
The D-Nexus is the original interface generated by the digital world, when tamers were summoned to save the burning world. Whilst the connection suffered temporary interference on moving to a new world, the links have been re-established allowing them to act as a digital interface between partners.
The D-Nexus holds the following features:
Direct link to partners showing health, energy, and the ability to temporarily boost energy allowing evolution to higher levels
Digimon database that updates automatically on receiving new information.
Interactive map of the surrounding area
Communications link between tamer and their partner Digimon
It should be noted that the D-Nexus is no longer bound to an element, as these were returned to the digital world. Behaviour can therefore be limited, and due to physical constraints in the human world, some functionality and evolutions cannot be accessed.
