"Once more unto the breach, dear falcon," yells the teenager into the sky as he charges forwards with an enthusiasm to the point of recklessness, rejoining the battle without a second thought. A year spent in the midst of a horrific digital war has done nothing to dull Jack's determination and fighting spirit, and he lives life with the same optimism that helped him survive way back then. He's bold, he's brash, he's irritatingly heroic; if you watched him rush into battle on eagle-back, you'd think that nothing about him had changed.
Although, sometimes new situations force out new changes in us, and Jack has had to evolve to a new life as a tamer in the world he grew up in. While still one to charge in head first, he aims to be far more strategic and thoughtful about his actions, and being one of the two experienced tamers in his own groups he's had to learn to be more responsible; after all, he is now acting as a mentor to a new group of tamers. This can cause friction as despite his experience he is still the youngest of the group, and it can be hard for him to deal with his own lingering feelings of inadequacy and inferiority. It can be hard to take on the world when the world seems to grow harsher every day.
That said, he refuses to let it bring him down, no matter what. Jack's blind optimism and slight naivete may cause him challenges, but it keeps him focused on the task at hand, and despite his own misgivings he has matured into a strong and an honourable tamer; being kind, being strong, and above all, being awesome.
