A sweet smile, a polite curtsey and a wave of the bow; from an unassuming introduction one wouldn't guess that this young woman's performances went viral across the world. At least until she starts playing, when her quietness and politeness gives way to an electrifying skill, more than words could ever interpret. Be it on the club stage or just by the roadside, Lyra commands her audience effortlessly with her haunting and spellbinding melodies.
At least, that is her persona when on the stage, but an encounter with her when she isn't performing reveals a different person; chaotic, impulsive and crude, with an aggressive streak when people get too much in her business. This is perhaps the reason she avoids interaction with others, and will shut down any attempt to pry, by force if she has to. The only one she seems to regard in any degree of warmth is her own partner, and she relies on him to get her out of troublesome situations.
Dig a little further, and you will find it's even more than that; Lyra and Tsurumon have a bond going back years and they would do anything for the other. Lyra herself owes him her life, and her own self-worth; after all, he is the only one in her life she is able to trust. There is a shard of a kind and a generous person within her, buried deep beneath song and sorrow. But as Tsurumon well knows, it's a shard worth polishing and protecting, and with a little kindness from outside, perhaps Lyra can become the person she truly wants to be.
