Joshua is a troubled man, and an insecure parent. Having had to raise three boys on his own, he’s desperately tried to keep anything from happening to them. He can be strict at times, and has trouble showing the affection which they might need; combined with freak digital occurences this has left his relationships with them strained at best, and non-existent at worst. Still, he is immensely proud of all of them, but the further involved they get with the Digimon the more worried he gets, and even after four years he struggles to accept Trilomon as one of the family. But in the end, he knows deep down that they’ve all grown, and he has to let go.
