Clara is quiet and observent, mainly out of a polite concern for her family. Between her daughter's free spirit and tendency to get into awkward situations, and her own husband's never-say-die attitude to life, the universe and pretty much everything, she takes it upon herself to at least judge the situation and step in when things are getting too chaotic. Leandro doesn't so much have a glass-half-full approach to life as a glass-is-overflowing one. Overwhelmingly positive and jolly to the point of denial, he would put his heart and his life on the line if only for the happiness of his wife and daughter. Physical limitations be damned; he refuses to let it bring him down, and given the chance he will drag everyone around him up to his level, so they can be the noble gentlemen that he tries so hard to be.
